After years each at New York and New Jersey intellectual property law firms, in 2002, Timothy X. Gibson joined our predecessor firm as a partner, bringing expertise in patent and trademark litigation and prosecution in chemical, pharmaceutical, and mechanical technologies.
Matthew B. Dernier joined the firm as partner in 2003, expanding the patent prosecution and opinion practice in the electronics and mechanical areas.
In 2008, the firm name was changed to GIBSON & DERNIER, LLP. Today, the partners and associates of the Firm have expertise in a complete range of technological disciplines including mechanical and electrical engineering, computer science, biology, chemistry, and others, and continue their practice in all areas of intellectual property law.
